Day 43

Today was a very important day, possibly the most important day for any litter of Dalmatian puppies. All of the puppies had their Brainstorm Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) testing done. We have a friend named Sam who is an audiologist and certified to test canine ears. She is a traveling audiologist and comes right to our house.

She checks their microchips, puts the puppies in a thunder shirt, and applies all of the “things” that are needed to do the testing. In the photos, you will see the lots of wires coming from the puppies heads… yep, all of that is necessary to see which ears hear.

We actually had one puppy (Chessie) that was almost sleeping during the test and another puppy (Brooke) that did fall asleep during their hearing test. That was a first!

We have 6 bilateral hearing puppies!

A few hours after the testing, we had some more visitors who were loving all of the puppy kisses. Enough love to go around for the everyone! A total of seven visitors on top of the humans that live in the house!
