We had a visitor today! Aunt Tammy came with a ton of fun toys for the puppies to play with. So much fun was had and a great time for catching up on all things dogs! The puppies were super happy to see her and ran right over when the gating opened. She happily sat in the puppy pen!!
No big changes today. We just kept with the same small changes of switching out the obstacles and toys. We do still keep the obstacles that they have already seen in rotation. We also have a nice mix of new things in the coming days.
I realize that I never talked much about why we added a crate to their area. This is the first step to crate training. We add a crate to the puppy open for them to get used to and explore on their own. I will admit that part of it is also for us, it adds stability to the play pen when the connectable box is not longer in there.
We are continuing with resource guarding and allowing for them to listen to all sorts of things on the TV. We go from classical music when we are wanting the puppies to settle to pop to country to TV shows to hockey to football, you name it, we have probably had it on the TV! The more noises that the puppies hear and the more things that they see and get used to with us, the more that they will be set up for success with their new owners!
